The Love Story

Arlington Next 6 Exits

Hiking in Puerto Rico
This is our love story from Sarah's perspective.  Ask Geoff if he has a different version of this tale!

Geoff and I met while Geoff renovated Jefferson Middle School in Arlington, VA where I was a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.  Geoff drove in everyday from Luray to Arlington and passed under a sign on Route 66 that said, “Arlington Next 6 Exits.”  A co-worker predicted that Geoff would end up living in Arlington.....

The last day of school, I said to Geoff, “You are adorable.  Your smile and easy going demeanor on this job made the process much easier than I had expected.  Thank you.”  And I walked away.  Geoff tracked me down during the summer, at my business, JOURNEYoga, two four hour lunch dates later, we both knew an amazing relationship had begun!

Art Deco (inspired by our travels)
A trip to Puerto Rico, hysterical laughter, a fantastic Christmas (filled with family fun), good food, listening and talking, and a weekend of yoga in California brought a marriage proposal.  That commitment led to the purchase of a home in Arlington.  People joke that work on the house might change our wedding plans for June 25th... Not the case! We are loving sharing the house work and seeing it’s transformation.

Currently, Geoff is a Green LEED Associate and Superintendent for Grunley Constructin and I own a yoga studio... Geoff and I met at a school in Arlington, I own a business in Arlington and we have a home together in Arlington. The wedding will be in Arlington... what’s next? If you're counting, we've got two more exits in Arlington.  Let’s watch as our lives unfold and a lifelong journey begins!

Geoff and I often use the phrase, “Love Us” as we love each other individually, we also love the way we are together.  Come together and share with us...

LOVE US.
